Summary:

In this case, the teen-aged defendant was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, alleging he tried to run over another teenager during a dispute at a local Sonic Drive-In. After preliminary hearing and cross examination of the several weak witnesses offered by the State, the State reduced the charges to misdemeanor simple assault and breach of the peace.

Joshua avoided jail with a deferred adjudication on the assault and a 30-day suspended sentence on the breach of the peace charge.
